About

The MILITARY TEE / “B” TROOP is crafted from an 8oz cotton fabric, designed without side seams for enhanced comfort. Notably, a binder neck has been incorporated for durability and its ability to maintain shape. Featuring a “B” TROOP 146th Cav front print.

With the mechanisation of the U.S. military during World War II, the use of horses in warfare dwindled, marking a decline in their role. However, despite this shift, the term "cavalry" persisted in referring to both mounted ground and aviation forces.

Constituted on January 31, 1949, within the Indiana National Guard, the 238th Cavalry had its origins as the 138th Antiaircraft Artillery Automatic Weapons Battalion and was initially affiliated with the 38th Infantry Division. Based in Bluffton Indiana and undergoing a significant transformation, on March 1, 1963, the squadron was re-designated as the 238th Cavalry, assuming the role of a parent regiment within the framework of the Combat Arms Regimental System. This restructuring marked an evolution in its mission and capabilities. Notably, on February 1, 1968, Troop B of the 1st Squadron of the 146th Cavalry in Detroit underwent a transformation and emerged as Troop C, contributing to the ongoing adaptations within the military structure.
