The Special Winter Trousers were a trouser-overall hybrid used during the early 1940s. The companion of the rare navy hook front closure deck jacket, the outer fabric of our winter trousers are constructed using cord cloth with resin-coated rayon interlined to help combat against cold winds on deck, combined with melton wool lining for warmth. The pockets on the hip are a modification taken from our original sample for utility use.
