The MILITARY TEE / U.S. AIR FORCE is inspired by ringer tees of the 1970s and has been made from 100% 8oz cotton and constructed from cotton sewing thread. The U.S. AIR FORCE motif at the front has been applied using flock, a popular method of printing throughout the 1960s and 70s.
Athletic apparel, such as T-shirts and training uniforms, was an important part of the U.S. Air Force training program. During this period, T-shirts like these were often issued to cadets at the U.S. Air Force Academy for physical training exercises. Their design and military emblems and motifs also made them suitable for casual on-base wear.
