Medium-weight athletic two-pack socks, made from the same rough American cotton as the two-pack T-shirts. Made on an old-fashioned knitting machine capable of producing a three-dimensional effect. Rather than using pile fabric on the underside as seen in the modern way, a technique not suited to mass production is used; more yarn is used in certain areas for strength and comfort. The 'COMFORT TOP' footwear, which can be seen in vintage catalogues, features no constraint and yet a firm hold.
