“Bend” leather is the thickest and most durable part of a cowhide, taken from the back down to the rump. While this strength means it is typically used for soles in footwear, it is also the most stretch resistant, which makes it suited for use in belts. As a result of this durability and longevity, the Joe McCoy BEND LEATHER BELT will be very stiff when first worn, but will become softer with wear.
