The M-421A was manufactured between 1940-1943. During this three year period, the M-421A went under minor changes. This early model we have reproduced is constructed with two flap pockets at the waistline, an inner pocket, and is finished with diamond shaped elbow pads. Later models were distinguished by having a left chest pocket and absence of elbow pads. Because these differences were minor, both model designs were still labeled M421A.
