The MILITARY TEE / VIETNAM VET has been made from 100% 8 oz. cotton and is constructed without side seams, using 100% cotton sewing thread. The VIETNAM VET rubber print has been applied by hand at our Kobe headquarters using traditional manual techniques, achieving the authentic texture and feel of vintage t-shirts.
The phrase “Hell and Back” was often used by veterans who experienced the intensity of jungle combat, and “10,000 Day War” was a reference to the long duration of American involvement in Vietnam, which stretched across decades when measured from early advisory presence to the final withdrawal.
After the conflict, many returning veterans or “vets” commissioned or purchased privately printed T-shirts, patches, and caps. These were not official issue items but were often made near bases in Southeast Asia or later in the United States for reunions and veteran gatherings.
