During the 1970s, rock-climbing became very popular amongst the people of California. Rock climbing enthusiasts would prioritise functionality and durability when it came to the clothes that they wore during this recreational activity. Climbing shorts were popular due to their gusseted crotch, which allowed greater movement.
Our shorts are made from a light but durable chino fabric which has been garment dyed which will fade beautifully with wash and wear.
Keeping durability and functionality into consideration, we have constructed the shorts with lap seams and given the waist a belt for ease of use.
