About

From BUCO, the five-panel snapback MESH CAP is constructed of a foam visor and darted front panel in Urethane and a Nylon Mesh back.

In the early 1970s, recognizing the potential of the now prolific Baseball Cap as a promotional tool, U.S. farming supply companies began giving away embellished caps to farmers and truck drivers. The crown height was increased and the front panel widened to accommodate logos, creating the distinctive silhouette that became synonymous with Blue Collar workers and a symbol of Americana.

The cap's long peak, comfortable foam front, and breathable mesh back provide exceptional sun protection and sweat absorption. As a result, it became an enduring feature in the uniforms of truck drivers, rural workers, and engineers.

With the rise of popularity in motorsports in an era of consumerism, distinguishing oneself amongst countless manufacturers was crucial to success and branded merchandise became a common marketing tactic.

Made in Japan, the BUCO MESH CAP features the diamond-shaped Buco logo as an embroidered patch, which can be seen stamped in the soles of the BUCO Engineer Boot, a boot “designed for Rough Wear”.
