This work shirt has been customised and repurposed with motorcycle club print detailing. This particular design is imagined as the club shirt for the “Silver Saints Motorcycle Club,” a group based in Culver City, California.

Club shirts featuring custom embroidered team motifs became a defining symbol of the thriving motorcycle culture of the era. These shirts were typically built on readily available work shirts, chosen for their accessibility and practicality.

The BUCO WORKSHIRT S/S / CULVER CITY is a classic work shirt style from the 1950s and 1960s, sharing its pattern with the short-sleeved USN chambray shirt. From the 1960s onward, herringbone twill became a popular workwear fabric due to its breathability and durability. This shirt is constructed with cotton sewing thread, features Cat’s Eye buttons, chain stitch run-off detailing, and two chest pockets with button closures.
