About
The U.S. Military sourced many fabrics and materials from Japan during the Vietnam war. According to documents from 1962, there were about 100,000 tiger stripe uniforms that were sourced from Japan. After 1962, most of the supply shifted to Okinawa (then not Japan), and only several batches of 1000 lot productions were ordered to Japan. With this being said, there are multiple variations of tiger stripe fabrics that came from many different factories. This tiger stripe fabric is made using custom produced ink, to replicate the correct fading, and printed using silk screen (seen in early productions) which changed to roller printed later on.
