Inspired by casual western wear from the 1930s. Local tailors would produce many different items of clothing using surplus fabric that was originally intended to be used for making horse blankets. Made from a heavy napped flannel fabric, the 8HU horse blanket flannel robe from Joe McCoy is constructed with a shawl collar, two hand pockets and one breast pocket. The robe is then finished with cord rope in the same striped tones as piping of the robe.
