The tube knit thermal is a shirt that can be worn everyday, even during the spring and summer months. The fabric is made by a machine that has been making traditional undergarments since the 1960s. The tension of this vintage knitting machines is very loose, which gives the fabric a softness incomparable to fabrics made by modern machinery today.  

Vintage machines have limitations to the fabric width that is produced, meaning the body of the shirt is constructed using a flat seam on one side instead of a traditional tube body or sewn seams on both sides. Cut and sewn products that only feature single side sewn seam is a vintage characteristic rarely seen today.
